Harlaxton Neighbourhood Centre Inc at a Glance

A Distinct Identity

Harlaxton Neighbourhood Centre Inc knows that our strength lies not only in the words we stand by, but most importantly through the actions of our initiatives. Back in 2000, our Non-Profit Organization realized that by working together we could overcome our challenges much more efficiently, and that is why we ultimately decided to launch Harlaxton Neighbourhood Centre Inc.

Hoy

The person in charge of the activity needs to give each player a Hoy Game Sheet and 9 or 13 counters or chips for them to mark the cards on their sheet.

The dealer then takes their pack of cards and turns a card over one at a time calling that card out to the group

If any player has that card on their Hoy Sheet they put a marker on that card.

The game continues until a player gets all of their cards on their hoy game sheet marked, when they do they call hoy.

MONDAYS FROM 9.30AM

Indoor Bowls

The game can be played in singles, doubles, triples and there are also four player games. Its purpose is this: you must aim your bowling ball as near to the white ball (called the jack) as you can. The game starts with the toss of a coin and the lead player rolls the jack which is moved to the centre of the rink.

Disability Arts Group

Art is something we do. Art is an expression of our thoughts, emotions, intuitions, and desires, but it is even more personal than that: it's about sharing the way we experience the world, which for many is an extension of personality. ... Beauty is rather a measure of affect, a measure of emotion.
